WordPress Facebook Application

  Hello! I’ve tried adding my WordPress.com blog via the Facebook application, but it still seems like my new posts aren’t showing up anywhere on my Facebook profile. I just thought I’d see if anyone had luck with this, or if this app is just not working anymore? Thanks!

  There are several threads on various ways to add your blog to Facebook; the app doesn’t have a great rep.

  I use Networked Blogs app and http://getsociallive.com which was specifically developed for WP.com.

  I don’t know much about the importation of WP.com blogs into Facebook and don’t follow these developments ever since I got it working with Social RSS on both my FB Profile and Page

  Jan: Thank you! I checked out Social RSS and added my blog through that. I found instructions for doing it via the Facebook built-in ‘Notes’ feature… not quite sure what the pros/cons are of both methods yet, but thanks for pointing this out to me!

  I suggest using this method http://teckline.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/how-to-import-your-blog-content-on-your-facebook-profile-video-tutorial/ instead of the Facebook app to get your posts imported onto your Facebook profile

  So for what it’s worth, I added my blog both through Notes and Social RSS as I mentioned earlier. I made a post on my blog over 12 hours ago. Notes got it up on my Facebook profile within an hour or two, but still Social RSS has not picked it up, even if I go to the tab on my profile.

  I think I’m going to stick with the Notes method (that t3ck also posted to this thread).

  For future reference, I also tried a few other RSS apps and none of them seemed to quite get what I was looking for, which was a wall post when I make a new blog post, as well as a tab where people can view my posts. Notes gets close, although I’m not sure what the implications will be for my pageviews. Not that it much matters, being a personal blog!
