WordPress Flexibility

    Hi,

I’m a little torn between your platform vs wordpress and I want to make sure that I’m getting the best service that we need for our company.

Its a little hard to test out wordpress since there’s not much flexibility with the free version but i do have a few questions:
    1. Is it possible to create multiple sub menus? If yes, is that a plugin that needs to be purchased?
    2. Can we create 3 more additional websites in one paid account? Or do we have to buy 3 separate accounts per site? How much would that cost us if necessary?
    4. How easy is it to cancel the subscription should wordpress does not meet the requirements that we need?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @tflwebteam
Yes there is much flexibility in WordPress, as there is 24*7 customer support availability to you and lot’s of new features for our premium customers.
    Coming to yours questions
    1. Yes, it is definitely possible to create as many sub menus as you want and you can search them in your “Dashboard/plugins”.
2.You can see more related stuff regarding management of domains on paid account at https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/.
3.You can also easily cancel your subscription and you can look it at https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/.

Hi there folks, hope you don’t mind me adding to this discussion

    @tflwebteam
all free WordPressdotcom sites are supported here in our public forums which also have a dedicated Staff presence. With a paid plan, you will also have access to Live Chat when it’s available and direct support by email at other times.

When you say “Multiple sub-menus” do you mean you want to have many child pages in a drop down menu? You don’t need a plugin for that. You can create customized menus for your site following this guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ The number and placement of those menus depends on your chosen theme.

While you can have any number of websites connected to the same WordPressdotcom account, each site will need its own upgrade plan if you want to use additional features. You can see a brief overview of each plan’s features on our pricing page https://wordpress.com/pricing/

You can cancel any WordPressdotcom upgrade plan or premium theme purchase within 30 days of date of purchase, and any new custom domain registration within 96 hours for a refund. After that refund window, no refund is available. You can learn more about the WordPressdotcom refund policy here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#refund-policy

  • Hi @tflwebteam, I just thought i’d add this as well: WordPress is very flexible. The free sites here aren’t as flexible, you can still set up submenus and what not.

Noting too, WordPress.com, the service, has a support staff and access to direct support if you have a paid plan.

The free software does not have support, but it does have a helpful community. Hoping that helps!
