I would like to know about the wordpress plans for business or company. I am looking for business solutions like I can provide my employees to access the wordpress so they can create, manage sites. Something I want to manage all my employees in one place. Does wordpress have suitable plan or solution for this ?. Please know me know the available plans and option.

  • Hi there, can you clarify whether you intend to have multiple websites (different domains showing different styles) or whether you will have one site?

You can have one site per plan on our systems, and yeah you could add your employees as users to the sites:

You’ll want to be sure you understand user roles, too:

If you’ll send more details we’ll see if we can surface the right info for you.

Thanks for the update. I would like to know about both options.
1.) Currently, I am looking into the free version of WordPress to have an understanding. There it is allowing me to create multiple sites and the invited users can also create a site. So I would like to maintain my company site in one place. It can be single or multiple.
2.) if I need multiple sites, can I maintain all the sites in one place, or do I need to have different accounts.
3.) Can we use https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/1.1/get/sites/%24site/users/ same API resource for all the plans right?.

If I am not understanding correctly means please explain in detail the available plans and their functionality.

It sounds like you’re referring to WordPress Multisite, where you create a network of sites on a single WordPress installation, correct?

WordPress.com is already a massive Multisite network, so it is not possible to host your own multisite instance on WordPress.com, on any of our plans.

While you can create as many sites as you want in this account, each one will be a completely separate site, not connected to any other site in your account, and any users you invite to a site will only be able to create new sites in their own accounts, also with no connection back to your site.

2.) if I need multiple sites, can I maintain all the sites in one place, or do I need to have different accounts.

You can create as many sites as you want under the same account. But if you need features included in our paid plans for a site, you’ll need to buy a separate plan for each individual site you want to use those features on.

3.) Can we use https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/1.1/get/sites/%24site/users/ same API resource for all the plans right?.

You can use the WordPress.com API with any site on WordPress.com, yes. Availability of the API is not dependent on your plan.

However, note that we do not provide support for the API via any of our support channels. We do not provide any custom code support on WordPress.com, including the API, code snippets for changes to a site’s functionality, and creation of child themes. For help with stuff like that you’ll need to retain the services of a freelance web developer or development agency.

    Thanks for the info

1.) Is there a way to restrict the invited user to create a site? I don’t want my employees to create new sites. Is there a way to restrict any of the WordPress plans?.

2.) Can you provide me links and reference to the WordPress plans with a detailed explanation to select the right plan?

WordPress.com does not work the same as the open source WordPress software where you can create accounts for users in the dashboard that are specific to that site only.

When you invite someone to your site, you are inviting them via their own, personal WordPress.com account. When you send them an invitation, they’ll be prompted to log into their own WordPress.com account, or to create an account if they don’t have one yet.

You have no control over that account, you only have control over what permissions that account has on the specific site you invited them to. So there is no way to block that user from creating their own sites in their own WordPress.com account.

2.) Can you provide me links and reference to the WordPress plans with a detailed explanation to select the right plan?

You can find a comparison of the features included in our different plans on the pricing page at https://wordpress.com/pricing/
