wordpress for full fledged website

  Hello !
  Suppose, somebody asks me to build a website for them with multiple number of individual webpages with individual webpage names (like say , a.html, b.html, c.html and so on), is it possible to do that in wordpress. (we dont want a blogspot kind of a thing having a single webpage containing all the info but multiple number of webpages with different webpage names, <titles>, <meta> tags etc.). Is that possible in wordpress or should i switch to something else ?
