Every step I take you want money is it free or not. I’m not sure how my blog will go so its hard to make financial decisions on a tight budget. Now its saying am I creating a 2nd blog? I’m not I just want to get started and its way more than one page about mostly my childhood (journal) and how it has affected my adult life.

In the blogs/websites provided by WordPress.com, there are parts which have a cost and some which don’t have any cost. So far I have never bought a product or a service for any of my Free WordPress blogs: https://meylodie.wordpress.com and https://orditux.wordpress.com

There is no obligation whatsoever to buy products. It is an additional possibility which makes the service interesting, as well for the users as for the WordPress company.

In the WordPress CMS, all your contents belongs to you : have you often seen that elsewhere? If you want to move or replicate your content anywhere else, all it takes is exporting your blog to a simple file and importing it again in another WordPress install. Else than that, WordPress itself has been one of the first open source CMS to care about being W3C compliant, mostly available to all browsers, even the ones of the disabled people.

Why not start doing your website, try the features and so on?
    Regards,
    Mélodie

Some of the upgrade stuff seems to be a bit in your face from the feedback in the forum here -kristy4214.wordpress.com. can be completely free – just don’t buy any upgrade – upgrades are not required – you can have more than one blog on the same account – no extra charge for the extra blogs
