WordPress freezing my mac

  In the last two days (yesterday and today), I’ve been having issues with wordpress. When I try to compose a post, it’s fine for a few minutes in my firefox browser and a bit longer in firefox private window but after that it freezes the browser and my system. I have to restart my system to make it work. I tried everything, including using the safe mode in my Mac Book but it just freezes my system and I have to restart my system again and again. Can you help?

  adding here that so far I’ve tried on both Safari and Firefox and I have the same issue.
