  Idk if this dates me a bit, but I was wondering if there is a WP-friendly application that helps you make themes and plug-ins. Kinda like M$ Publisher or dreamweaver or similar?

  In any event, this would not be applicable for the majority of sites hosted here on WordPressdotcom, other than those on the Business plan upgrade. You might get better results inquiring in the support forums for sites using the standalone WP software. https://wordpress.org/support
