WordPress FTP Plugins
-
I Installed a plugin to my theme and it rejected the install – so I deleted it.
The website author then issued an updated theme which I tried to install but its says the plugin folder still exists when I had deleted it so I still cant install it – so not sure how to get past this – I have read that going through the FTP that it can be manually deleted but I don’t know how to do this, nor the passwords to do so.
Anyone know how to get around this..?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com such as https://dgkcomau.wordpress.com/
If the site you need help with is hosted elsewhere and using the WordPress.org software then the correct support forum is:
https://wordpress.org/support/ -
Hello,
The blog URL you have mentioned is a WordPress.com blog. WordPress.com does not offer FTP access to sites. Here is an article with more details about it:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/Regarding the themes and plugin installation, only WordPress.com Business plan allows users to install themes and plugins. Which mean probably the site you are trying to install the plugin on is a WordPress.org site which is not hosted by WordPress.com. This is a public forum which provides support only for the sites hosted on WordPress.com.
There is another support forum for WordPress.org self-hosted site, you can navigate to WordPress.org forum using this link:
https://wordpress.org/support/To learn about the difference between the WordPress.com and WordPress.org please refer to this article:
I hope you find this helpful,
