WordPress Gallery 'Next' image always showing Last Image in Gallery

  Currently having problems with the output of my galleries, when uploading a group and attempting to navigate through them, instead of showing the next image in the sequence when navigating ‘next’ it is always showing the last image in the set – ‘Back’ seems to work fine. Anyone have any ideas how to fix? I’ve put a link below to help you understand what I mean – its always showing the last photo in the collection. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  Looking at the thread @justjennifer linked to, and at your revision history of that page, I think it might be related to the fact that you only just added the last image to the gallery a few days ago, while the rest were added when the gallery was first created.

  Did you edit the gallery this time around by going to My Site ->Pages and editing the page from there, or did you use the editor in the WP-Admin dashboard to add the most recent image?

  Do you have any new galleries on your site that you added recently and all at the same time where this is also happening?

  Hi

  This is happening across the entire of the sites galleries – and the issue is similar to what is occurring in the thread quoted above. Previously this worked as being able to navigate from left to right within the images, rather than just showing the latest uploaded example or ‘last’ within the gallery. The gallery was edited by using the editor within WP-Admin to add the most recent image.

  It will also seem that i’ll have to use the image carousel until this is fixed as per the above forum topic…

  Thanks. I’m able to reproduce this on a test site and have reported it to our developers to look into. For now enabling the carousel is the only way to get around this problem, but I’ll let you know if and when we’re able to fix this.
