WordPress gave access to a follower on my website- how does this happen???

Yesterday, an unauthorized user gained access from WordPress to my website- this person canceled my plan which was Premium, modified my website, cancelled my email. Please tell me how does this happen- I received an email denying access yet, it was still granted.
I just renewed July and now it’s saying I must make another payment- I’m absolutely lost!!! I have emailed customer support several times with No response because my account is showing FREE- due to this person’s cancellation.
Is there a customer service toll free number or someone who can offer some type of support or suggestion?
