WordPress – GoDaddyPlugin v 4.7.4 / WP.com / WP.org
-
I have a hosting package on Godaddy. I just recently added the WordPress plugin v 4.7.4. There were some difficulties with the initial installation which i was able to workaround via the wordpress.com website instead of the plugin dashboard.
However – now that i am looking to immerse myself in it full time i am finding:
– wordpress.com recognises the login i created, but there is no sync so i can’t manage the same content created in one from the other.
– wordpress.org doesn’t accept wordpress.com login
– the GoDaddy plugin is V limited. There are almost no options to edit basic functionality and my theme/page doesn’t even show a navigation menu bar. Furthermore – i cannot: change the theme; show categories on the side; show archives
– Tools menu only gives option to select a ‘Press This’ plugin – is that it?!?Can i please have an indication/guideline to assist me with this matter!?

Hi teamjinguru,
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different services.
Godaddy uses the WordPress.org platform. To be able to add new plugins and upload themes, access your WordPress installation using the credentials and details that Godaddy provided (not via WordPress.com).
You can look for help on WordPress.org Forum if you have additional questions about WordPress.org or Godaddy’s support.
Hope that helps a little bit.
Regards,
