wordpress got deleted

Hi I just noticed that my wordpress blog has been deleted – I don’t recall deleting it and I didn’t get any email notification. I did have a hacking incident happen to me before and I think that the hackers did this, so I have now changed my password. I don’t mind about losing the content but I would like to recreated it under the same URL, would it be possible to make a special request to use the same URL as before? Thank you very much!

According to the Internet Wayback machine it must have happened between September 2017 and July 2018, so it was a very long time ago.

That site was deleted 2 years ago. You would have had to of gone through two confirmation screens, as well as a confirmation email with a final link to finish the deletion. It’s not really something that can be done accidentally or by a hacker unless they also have access to your email.
We can only recover sites within 30 days of deletion.

My email got compromised around that time. Is there anything which can be done at all to get that URL back?

Please delete the site mentioned in the forum post and my username. If it is not possible due to feedback please rescind the feedback. The suspected hacker was a former friend and I don’t want this interaction with my username to appear on search engines.

It is not possible for us to remove your username from the thread. WordPress.com usernames are public, and the display of your username in a forum thread is not considered a security issue.
As per our forum guidelines in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/best-practices-community-standards/ that is the only situation in which we’d consider completely deleting a forum thread.

Hello is there a private area in which I can discuss my safety concerns if you really need to go into that? Please be mindful of MY privacy. Honestly it would be a lot better if this whole topic could just be deleted. Please don’t make me break rules in order to action this very reasonable request. Under GDPR I invoke my “right to be forgotten” on this forum. Thank you in advance.

OK I figured out how to change my username on my own. Perhaps this is something which you could have suggested.
Your UX is also bad because I thought that I was asking a private support question but really it is a public forum. I would have paid for a private support ticket as well if that option had been presented to me.
Worst of all I am very disappointed that you didn’t respect my boundaries.
Feel free to add that to the feedback pile now that my username is no longer sensitive.
