WordPress has downgraded my site

    I was on a personal plan, and naturally, paid for it at that time. Just logged into my account and I’ve been downgraded to a free account (so I can’t access Live Chat or email support for help either!) and told to pay to upgrade. My website (on the personal account) is still live, but the backend is showing a free account with a different domain. Please help!

    Also, that link isn’t to my live site. That’s the new site they’ve given me, having removed all my content.

    What is the URL of the ‘downgraded’ website? Are you sure you’re logging in with the correct username?

    The downgraded site is the one linked in the first post (it added it automatically to the post), the ‘personal’ account was https://swanseappc.com/, which I still get the ‘My Site’ ‘Reader’ ‘Write’ and avatar at the top of the screen for. So, incredibly, I’m still logged in, but can’t access it in the back end.

    http://paidsearchswansea.wordpress.com/ started in April 2018 but has no content. https://swanseappc.com/ is up and running for me and has content. Let’s wait for a response from Staff, they can see what happened.

    Do staff respond? I started with the paidsearchswansea then upgraded to swanseappc, so like I said I can see all the options above swanseappc but then it takes me into the back end of the free version, telling me I need to upgrade. Are there any contacts? It’s a catch 22, I can’t speak to them because they’ve downgraded my account, but without speaking to them, I can’t get my personal account back…

    Hi there,

    Looks like there are actually two different WordPress.com accounts at play:

    – rhys122 is the owner of swanseappc.com which still has an active WordPress.com Personal plan and access to live chat.
    – ppcswanseahas the new site paidsearchswansea.wordpress.com which is on the free plan.

    To access swanseappc.com you will want to sign out of WordPress.com as ppcswansea (you can do so from Me > Sign Out” then log back in as rhys122. Doing so will give you access to the site with the Personal plan.
