WordPress has not transferred my workspace account to Google. Please help
-
My WordPress account is closed. I had to move my domain to another provider, as selected by my webhosting agency.
Since then, everything has been broken because my Google Workspace still seems to be a WordPress reseller version, and I can’t change my IMAP settings.
I can’t use Gmail anymore, and my whole workflow has been broken for months. I lost my mail client, which has resulted in me losing meetings and having no calendar to sync.
Google somehow can’t convert my account to a direct account, and I can’t access the IMAP settings either. They say WordPress needs to solve it, but they don’t mention why and how.
Since my account is cancelled I can’t log in as (email visible only to moderators and staff) anymore.
Please help, I am going nuts. My planning, mail etc is all over the place.
Can WordPress make sure that my account is fully transferred back to Google, including billing, etc.?
At this point, I can’t even cancel my workspace account. It does not show any subscriptions to cancel, and there is no billing information to view. My soulfulfevelopments.com Google workspace is in nowhere land. It’s not billed by WordPress or Google, and I can’t manage it.
Help me solve this mess, please! Big pretty please :)!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The site soulfuldevelopments.wordpress.com is still up and running, so if it is yours you can login to the WordPress.com account it is in. If you are not able to login like you mentioned earlier, the next step is our Account Recovery form.
You can try and recover your account by filling out our Account Recovery form –
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
We need all the details you can provide via the form and once you fill it, we will proceed from there.
Please give us as much information possible via the form.

According to https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/http://soulfuldevelopments.com your site is hosted by one.com. I know they hosting includes email addresses, so you can create email addresses over there.
When you closed your wordpress.com account, you also canceleld your Google Workspace subscription whiwh was then moved over to Google. As I can see in our extensive documentation, quote “By canceling your entire Google Workspace subscription on WordPress.com (i.e., all licenses), your Google Workspace account will automatically be transferred to Google for a 30-day trial/grace period. You will receive an email from Google with instructions on how to set up billing with Google to continue your subscription uninterrupted. Ignore this if you do not wish to continue using Google Workspace.”
To be 100% sure, you must wait untill a Staff member is available.

No. My site is no longer hosted by WordPress. Its just the CMS running with another provider. Logging into the CMS wont really do much here.
WordPress was my hosting/ mail provider before. They sold me a workspace account with it. Since I am no longer their customer for that, I can’t log in to that admin account from their side. It simply no longer exists.
Google needs them to cancel my account with them as well, otherwise my reseller version of Workspace has limits, like not being able to adjust IMAP settings, since they are/were fixed to WP/ Automaticc mailservers. -
@staartmees, that didn’t happen. They did not transfer it back to Google. It’s still registered with them as a reseller version with them. They are not allowed to do anything before WP/Automaticc gives it up. And I can’t reach them because I can’t access my WP admin account anymore. My account is cancelled with them. My site/ mail is hosted by another provider.
All google’s journeys lead to me having to login in with WP to get support, but I can’t. And there is no other way to contact them.
Meanwhile my Workspace is in nowhere land. It’s still up, but without my email, only calendar and drive. But its not being billed by WP, not by Google, it says it is a reseller account in the back end…but there is no reseller anymore.
It’s just an admin bug.
I finally got through to a live support lady at Google who has escalated it. Other support routes all went dead (dozens of emails etc). She said they would try and reach WP/Automaticc from their side.
In the meanwhile even MS had a remote support/access guy to try and create a suboptimal route using outlook as an email client. But outlook doesn’t support calendar sync for IMAP accounts on mobile and just syncs horribly over all with gmail. I just want my workspace back :)!
I have been walking around like a chicken with no head, trying to manually sync emails and 3 calendars, and trust me. That just doesn’t work. My guy said I should just get a paper calendar like in the old days. That worked fine he said… I don’t think he understands this problem either ;) -
@rambogenius That wont work. Yes my site is up. But no longer hosted by WordPress anymore. Its just their CMS running on a server with another provider. Logging into the CMS wont really do much here.
WordPress was my hosting/ mail provider until 8 weeks ago. They sold me a workspace account with it. But when I cancelled they did not fully migrate my account back to Google for it to become a Direct account instead of a Reseller account. Since I am no longer their customer, I can’t log in to that admin account from their side. It simply no longer exists.
Google needs WP to cancel my account with them as well, otherwise my reseller version of Workspace has limits, like not being able to adjust IMAP settings, since they were fixed to WP/ Automaticc mailservers before and should be changed to my new providers servers. -

@staartmees my site domain is hosted by Hostnet, they might have already migrated the hosting of the site to WP one from their side, to be clear. Me not having email is not the problem. I set it up with outlook now. I need my Workspace account back because I need Gmail as my client. But as long as WP kidnaps it, I can’t use it anymore and my workflow is kind of <peep>.
Again, WP does not recognize me as a client. Logging into WP admin console comes back with a system alert that marieke.post@soldfuldevelopment is not a known account. -
I just need WP to cancel my reseller Workspace account on their side! It is a ghost account. Not billed by WP, not billed by Google. I need access to IMAP settings in Google workspace and have it set to a direct Workspace customer account with Google.
