WordPress hashtage widget FOR DUMMIES

Hi. I’m stupid. I don’t know how to code. I don’t know the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org, and when I find myself on wordpress.org, I don’t know what to do.

I want to embed a twitter hashtag widget on my blog. I don’t know how to do this. I have found something about how to do it on WordPress.org. Unfortunately, there are foreign languages that I speak better than whatever lingo is used in WordPress.org directions.

Can someone please help me figure this out? I will need to you talk to me like I am an idiot. I have seen an instant code maker thingy for Blogger to do what I want … I think it uses Flash though, which I have read is not compatable with wordpress … soooo yeah. Help, please!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t. See here and note the restricted codes > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    Hi there,

If you are using a WordPress.com blog, you cannot add certain types of code to your blog, nor are you allowed to add plugins.

You can do both if you purchase your own hosting and use the WordPress software you can download for free at WordPress.org.

We have a handy page that explains the differences (and the pros and cons) for each option at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
