WordPress having trouble leaving comments on Blogger blogs

    I have a self-hosted WordPress blog and a WordPress.com account and I’m having trouble commenting on Blogger blogs, I’ve tried using both comment as: WordPress and OpenID, WordPress always redirects me back to WordPress.com when I hit publish but doesn’t publish my comment.

    OpenID just redirects me to a blank page and doesn’t publish my comment either. My OpenID is the same as my blog’s url and I am admin so there’s no reason for it to fail. I’m at my wits end trying to comment on Blogger blogs, even though some of my favorite bloggers use Blogger as their platform. Please help.

    Hi there. This sounds more like a problem on Blogger’s end, so please contact their technical support for help with this issue. Here we can only help you with problems on your WordPress.com site or account.

    Looking at the OpenID support doc it would appear you need a WordPress.com URL to use for this purpose. If you don’t have a URL on WordPress.com that might also be the issue: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/openid/

    As for OpenID on your self-hosted site: we can’t help with that here. For help with self-hosted blogs you need to post in the WordPress.org forums. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
