WordPress hosted domain vs external domain server

  I’m looking to invest real time into this and have decided to have a custom domain. Word press offers there domains although go daddy is an alternative. Since my blog time here has been relatively short (3 weeks) should I do it through word press. At the moment I’ll be looking to gain more awareness and just make my blog more packed until it’s at a level to take it to the next level.

  I do have some questions: does going external change any visuals (themes) I’ve used whatsoever?

  Can we use google analytics with wordpress hosted?
