wordpress hosted pics are gone

    WordPress hosted pics are gone on my blog redhawk55.wordpress.com when using firefox.
    Since Friday I can´t see any pic on my blog using firefox, firefox is my standard browser. It´s not possible to insert pics in an new article too.
    Using IE everything is working.
    I´ve followed the usually advised steps, like deleting cookies………………………the problem is still there.

    I can see images on your blog in every post on the front page using Firefox 8. I don’t know which one are in your Media Library and which ones are 3rd party hosted.

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

    2. Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    3.Which browser and version of it are you using?

    4. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    5. Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

    7. Do you have JavaScript enabled?

    8. Do you have another browser you can try?

    Thanks for letting us know that you can see the images using IE. Exactly which version of IE are you using?

    Check your Firefox preferences and make sure your blog or WP hasn’t been excepted from loading images.

    Now I know what a time- thief is.
    Thanks a lot, timethief, your reply is 10 times longer than the reply I got from the German wordpress.com- forum, great.
    My IE- version is 6.0.2900.
    My connection to the net is working via wireless radio- communication, we´re living in a very small village. It works often very slow but acceptable.
    I use https.
    I use the latest firefox version. As a way to solve the problem, I´ve deinstalled and reinstalled firefox yesterday by following the advised steps carefully, pics are still gone.
    I ´ve cleared browsers cache and cookies.
    I´ve tried it with disabled and enabled 3rd party cookies.
    Javascript is enabled.
    Flash is up to date.
    No recent operating system or security program updates.
    It makes me wonder that my 2 other self hosted wp- blogs are working without any problem
    My blog or wp hasn´t been excepted from loading images.
    Could it be a port 80 problem of the router? I guess the problem began with the latest firefox- version, but I´m not that expert that is needed here.

    IE 6, unfortunately, is no longer supported, not even by microsoft. You will absolutely be better off with a different browser.

    But it works with IE6.
    My standard browser is firefox- latest version-, firefox seems to cause the problem
