WordPress Hosted Site FTP Access

  I am trying to figure out how do I access the root directory/FTP of my WordPress site, usually I would go through the web hosting company but our hosting is through WordPress so how do I get access to the index.php, etc? Basically we use wordpress.com to install the theme and easily update it but I want access to the wordpress.org files if that makes sense

  Hello,

  If you are talking about phatfoot.wordpress.com., it is hosted on WordPress.com and hence, do not provide FTP access. Read more about it here.

  If you have a WordPress.org site, your webhost should be able to help you with FTP details.
