  I would like to host .com.au domain and I would like to know the procedure.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I don’t think, com.au is supported by wordpress.com
  You can find a full list of supported domains here.

  But what you can do is you can use domain mapping feature of wordpressc.om
  How it works is, You need to purchase a domain at other registrar were .com.au is supported and then update the nameservers to wordpress.com
  Read the below guide for more information on mapping a domain

  Please note, You will need a wordpress.com paid plan to use mapping features

  I have added “modlook” tag for the staff assistance to confirm whether .com.au is supported or not.

  Yes, you will need to use domain mapping to connect a .com.au domain to your WordPRess.com site. Domain mapping is included with all of our paid website plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Hi,

  I have also been looking at this as I have a .com.au website and I am currently looking at having it rebuilt on WordPress. I looked at your premium services so that I could Map the domain however it appears to be approx $400 AUD per year. This is not a major issue but I have been shopping around through website designers to build my website to weight it up between that and building it myself. A lot of them are offering a set fee eg: $3000 AUD for the website but I do not understand how they can offer a set fee for my .com.au website if there is an annual fee involved ?

  any information on this would be great.

  Hi –

  We can’t speak to what other folks are telling you. My best guess is that they plan to build your site using the WordPress installation. That’s different from using WordPress.com.
