WordPress hosting blog, do I need the new wordpress software?

  I will make this short and to the point, I noticed that wordpress has a 2.1 version out and I am not sure if this update applies to me. I am not paying for wordpress service and seeing the upgrade and install reminds me of moveable type and how frustrating this can be. If I need not worry, please say so. Thank you

  You need not worry. WordPress.com staff handle all software issues. In terms of security, ours are generally a little ahead of the regular wordpress.org self-hosted software.
