  If you have an existing domain you can transfer the domain at wordpress.com or else use can domain mapping feature.

  If you wish to transfer the domain to wordpress.com see the below guide
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  By transferring the domain to wordpress.com you don’t have to manually configure DNS records at another domain provider.
