Hi there, I’m not too sure what you mean.
When you add an image block, the block will resize to show the image; but the image doesn’t stretch to fill the block.
You can resize an image block as well, to change the dimensions that the image is displayed at. Please find the image block guide at this link:
If you want to have an image that is more ‘stretched’ to fill a larger area, you could consider using a cover block. We also have a guide for the cover block here:

Many Thanks for your great tutorials, basically, it will be under
as, I cannot upload any screenshot to improve my explaination.
but If I set the image block with certain dimension (either pixel/% for horizontal/vertical),is it will be fixed the dimension, and having problem for wordpress responsive webdesign surface for different monitor/inch?As I plan to upload 9 small photo to become a big photo. (instead of I using offline photoshop to editing), so I may need a function of image fit to the image block.
As each image may looks similar, 400×200, but sometimes, the original maybe is 380x 180, or 420 x220, so if have that function of “image fit to the image block (fixed 400×200)” it may looks nice, even though the image stretch little bit.

Hello there,
A screenshot can be shared via a link via https://snipboard.io/.
Ok, so are you able to provide a link to a page you’re working on please?
Without setting the dimensions, the image in the image block would be naturally responsive. Setting the width to 100% would also ensure this is responsive.
Are you looking to show these in a grid format? If yes, you may want to nest these in a column block: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/columns-block/
