WordPress import stuck at "Processing…"
-
My WordPress import has been stuck for quite some time at “Processing…” It has imported some of my posts, but not all. Is there a way to cancel the process and clear everything from the site so I can try it again?
The blog I’m having problems with is http://anwenbackup.wordpress.com/
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have reset your importer for you. You can try your import again at any time.
If you continue to have trouble with this, please let me know what kind of export file you have, where your blog was before, and how large a file it is.

Thank you that worked! I’ve noticed though all of the the images are still linking to the wp-content folder at my old provider. Is there a way to move them as well?
-
-
Yes it is, but I’d like to take it down eventually.

It looks like your images were imported successfully but the posts are still linking back to your old site. I’m looking into this issue and will let you know when we’re able to get this sorted out for you.

We have been able to fix up most of your images.
Please note that we had issues with the following images. Because these are .bmp images, we weren’t able to convert them over. You will need to download these images, convert to JPG or PNG, and then upload to your .com site and edit the posts accordingly.

You can see the post ID when you view posts and hover over a post title, and a bar will pop up in your browser (usually at the bottom) with a URL that includes the post ID.

Thank you very much!
In the very first post, the url when I click the image is still linking back to my hosted location when I click it to post a comment:
http://anwenelizabethphotography.com/2012/02/adi-5-months/adi_blog-1/
Is there some way for me to fix these as well?
-
Hmm, it looks like a number of images are still pointing back to your self-hosted site. I’ll need to take another look for you.
-
Okay, it looks like the images from these three posts are still pointing to your old site:

http://anwenbackup.wordpress.com/2012/02/19/a-little-lovely-change/Other images are those .bmp files I referenced before.
Let me see what I can find out for you.

It looks like the images themselves are all on WordPress.com, but the links are pointing back to your old site. We aren’t able to fix those posts automatically, so you’ll need to go in and update the links to point to your new image locations.
