WordPress Importer not working

  When trying to import an xml using the WordPress Importer Plugin, it does not run as expected. After choosing the xml and clicking upload. It loads a page that only reads Import WordPress, and nothing else. I’m trying to host my wordpress site via AWS.

  I also tried using the One Click Demo Importer and get a 500 internal eror.
