WordPress inserting ads in the middle of the post and multiple ads at the end

    Hi ,
    I have been administering my site on wordpress since quite some time. I have been seeing strange and unusual ads in the middle of my posts and several ads at the end of the post. I am not on any of the paid plans yet but I believe the number of ads wordpress is displaying on my post is increasing in number and is distracting to me as well as other readers.
    If there is any way to stop this ads or limit the amount of ads displayed , please advice.

    As part of its efforts to keep costs free or down for users, WordPress.com displays ads, including the WordPress.com promotional banner, on free and starter sites.

    To eliminate ads on your website, You can upgrade to WordPress.com Personal plan or you can either stay on the Free and choose to purchase the No Ads Add-on from Tools → Marketing.
