WordPress Interface
-
I have noticed that the WordPress interface after logging on has changed. Although it is attractive, for the life of me I no longer can find my DASHBOARD which used to automatically appear once logged on. It appeared in the far left column along with all my other blogging/publishing and tweaking options. Now I cannot find it without having to navigate through a maze of unrelated links. For the life of me, I’m not sure how I found my DASHBOARD. I have only one blog and have made no changes when I noticed a modified login interface. It’s most discouraging when trying to publish a weekly blog when someone has moved my cheese. Ü Please advise. Many thanks for your assist in this matter.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you talking about the dark grey admin bar at the top when you are logged into your account?

Many thanks for the super fast reply. By grey admin bar, I presume you mean the login fields ie name and password. I actually mean once I’ve logged in, I used to be automatically brought to the DASHBOARD screen where the left column contained: HOME, STORE, POSTS, PAGES, WIDGETS, APPEARANCE, etc. From there I had all the tools at my disposal for posting and modifying my blog and site. However when I log in now, I’m whisked away to a page that indicates my most recent post for editing, viewing or trashing. But a link to my DASHBOARD is no longer visible.

There apparently has been a change to the “My Blogs” tab on the WordPress.com front page after logging in. The direct links to Dashboard, Posts and Pages have been removed. Whether this is temporary or permanent is something only Staff can advise.
Meantime, you can get to your blog’s Dashboard by clicking on your username in the upper right corner of the Admin bar and then clicking on Dashboard. I agree that it is more cumbersome this way.
