WordPress' IP address? Need to point a domain

  I have domain that was bought with Wix and it won’t let me change the DNS servers so I need to point the domain to my WordPress site. Unfortunately I can’t find the current IP address for WordPress to point it anywhere. Where do I find it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Marc,

  WordPress.com doesn’t use static IP addresses, so there isn’t a way to map your domain that way. (If you do use an IP address like that, your domain will stop working as soon as the IP address changes next.)

  You’ll need to change your domain’s name servers to point the domain to WordPress.com. If Wix doesn’t allow that, I’d recommend transferring your domain to a different domain registrar that does allow it. There’s a list of domain registrars at the bottom of our guide to Map an Existing Domain — any of those will allow you to point your domain to WordPress.com.
