WordPress is deleting sections of my posts

Greetings, I am new to WordPress. I am using the free version, and my blog is being hosted by the actual site (wordpress.com.)

I often use latex on my blog for math symbols and equations, but lately I have been noticing that wordpress will delete entire sections of my posts seemingly at random. It happens mostly when I use inequalities, such as something like |x-a|<delta. It seems to actually delete everything after the expression (in this case|x-a|) up to a point, and it will usually just leave a 0 in its place (which I didn’t even type.)

I would not be that concerned about it, since the site does a decent job of keeping up with drafts, but just recently even the drafts could not help me. I guess maybe it happened earlier on, and I ended up losing several paragraphs that I worked very hard on. I have been working for hours, so I have next to no idea what was even in them, or how much was lost. I can understand if my computer shuts down or something, but I should not have to worry about whether my work will be deleted from the very textbox that is supposed to save it.

    Please help if you can.

I came here to check whether the issue is resolved or not. Appears it’s resolved. BTW, on WordPress.com it’s recommended to use > and < instead of > and < respectively.

Sorry, on WordPress.com it’s recommended to use > and < instead of > and < respectively.

@scrooge429 I just took a look at your post but it looks fine from this end. Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

Otherwise send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.

The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
