WordPress is not letting me use my domain elsewhere!

I transferred my domain to another site and then I tried to delete this site so that I could type in my domain in the search bar and it wouldn’t send me to wordpress anymore. I tried to delete the domain from wordpress and it’s now holding my domain hostage and I can’t use it on my other website company

If I understand correctly you have a domain that you purchased through WordPress.com with a plan upgrade?
So now you would like to delete your WordPress.com site and then use the domain at another host. I assume that will mean self hosting a wordpress.org site. as the deleting site process is permanent an irreversible it is wise to perform an export and to capture all of your media as well.
If you already completed the process in the move domains support you may have noticed that it can take up to 72 hours for this transfer to take place since there are name servers all over the world that need to be updated.

There hasn’t been a custom domain registered to this account yet. It’s not possible to transfer your free site to a new host. peacefulreignphotosblog.wordpress.com is a free site. Please confirm which site you are trying to transfer.

I deleted peacefulreignphotos.com and I bought that with the personal plan. I deleted it after I transferred it to Wix.com and now it hasn’t been working with them. peacefulreignphotos.com is my domain that I want to be available again

Interesting it looks like peacefulreignphotos.com was registered by Automattic. When I go to the site it says the site has been deleted. If you are a free user you cannot have a custom domain, they all end with “.wordpress.com”. It looks like you had purchased a domain with WordPress then canceled your plan. Although you have the domain the basic plan dos not allow you to use it.
If you upgrade to a Personal plan you can link the domain back to your site.
If you want to take that domain to another hosting service then you can follow these instructions. But if staff-zinnia didn’t see it the staff may need to help out. I’ll add a modlook tag just to be sure.

Thanks for confirming the domain in question. We have to restore the domain registration in order for the domain to work. The registration has to stay active somewhere. Once the domain is old enough to can transfer it outright to another provider if you want, but for now, you can only point it to Wix through name servers.
I’ve sent a note to our domain partner asking them to restore the domain. I’ll hear back in 2-3 days and will send an update your way.

@peacefulreignphotos we were able to get everything back and working for you. Please do not cancel the domain again. If you’d like to transfer it to another registrar after 60 days of registration (you’re nearly there) you can complete these steps, then *after* the domain is fully transferred you can delete the site:
