WordPress is sending spam?
-
I commented on a daily post https://dailypost.wordpress.com/2015/03/05/sharing-privacy-settings/?c=545535#comment-545535 and since then get repeated emails from the same place. “stitchfred203” does not exist but wordpress is sending me numerous emails to say
that this place likes my comment.
What is causing this? I do not want to disable wordpress notifications. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I checked the post you commented on, and I see that the user stitchfred206 has been repeatedly liking a number of comments there. The repeated email notifications are being sent because it seems that user is un-liking and then re-liking your comment on that post.
We’ve reached out to that user to ask them to stop, and we’re looking into other ways to prevent this from happening in the future so you don’t get bombarded with those unwanted emails. If this continues to be a problem for you, please let me know!

Thank you – that explains it – but I could not find this user – I got a
Nothing Found, It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help. It did claim to be a wordpress site at the bottom of the page.I will see over the next few days if you have been more successful, I hope so.

Sorry, the user stitchfred206 is still sending me ‘likes’ – I have had 5 since your email of yesterday.
Not solved yet! -
I’m sorry for the continued trouble. We’re investigating how to prevent these unwanted likes/notifications, but we haven’t hit on a solution yet. We’ll keep working on it!

Hi there!
We sorted this out so you won’t get any more comment like notifications from that user. (If you do, please let me know!) We’re also working on improvements to help manage this sort of situation in the future. Thanks for letting us know about it, and please let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
