WordPress is stripping off my html tags
-
Hi,
WordPress is stripping off all my html tags automatically. Even the basic tags are being stripped off. It is just plaintext stored in the database. Please help! -
We need a link to your blog so we can check it out. Please either put your blog in your Profile under “website” so your name links to it or paste the URL here, all of it starting with http.

Try switching off the visual editor (option “Use the visual rich editor when writing” under “Users” > “Your Profile”).

WordPress.com allows most HTML tags:
If you’re using those tags and they’re being stripped, it’s probably because you have an error in your HTML.

Actually I am having the same problem. I would use html tags to space my paragraphs and when I save it and go back to it, the Visual Rich editor shows the proper spacing and when I try to edit the post it and then publish it online, the tags disappear and the paragraphs become one big paragraph. It is very frustrating. I am using Safari 3.04 in Mac OS X 10.5. My website is A Holy Endeavor

If you are using Safari, it isn’t quite compatible with the TinyMCE visual editor wordpress uses. Try Firefox.
If you aren’t using Safari, try using
<p> </p>
between paragraphs, but it may be stripped as well. The editor seems quite borked lately. The real solution: Use one of the offline blog editors listed here: http://bloggingtips.tumblr.com/post/23496063
