WordPress keeps removing me from "following" my site

  Hello. I keep getting removed by WordPress from following my site. I want to get the posts as emails, but it removes me from following it. I re-followed it again two weeks and ago and then posted today. I didn’t receive the post as an email, I go to look at my followed sites, and again I am no longer following it. This is probably the third or fourth time this has happened.

  What is happening? Can you please stop it so I can just follow my own site? I am worried it is bumping more subscribers as well.

  Hi! Thank you so much for getting back to me. I’ve just re-followed the site.

  And I have confirmed with other subscribers that they were getting un-subscribed from following the site.

  Hi there,

  So, I see the unfollowing of the site of your account from two weeks ago as well as you re-following the site about 20 minutes ago. It’s coming from the same IP address, so it is not an issue of someone hacking your account from elsewhere. Does someone else have access to your account? Can you also provide a few emails of users who are saying they were unsubscribed from your site?

  I will monitor the activity on your site. Please let me know if your site is unfollowed again.

  No one else has access to my account. The other user who said they were unsubscribed is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  I can see that individual has resubscribed. I don’t see when they unsubscribed. If they’d like us to examine that more closely please have them get in touch here.

  Do either of you forward the emails to other people, curiously?

  Yes, I do forward the emails to another list. Is that the issue?

  If you’re forwarding the unsubscribe link with it too, yes, most likely. You could try sending it out without the unsubscribe link, but my guess is someone doesn’t want it sent to the whole list. It might be better to invite interested folks to follow the site directly.
