WordPress keeps turning off email.

    I prefer reading the blogs I follow through Email. For the past two days, the WordPress reader keeps clicking the box saying ‘Block all email from the sites I follow,’ in spite of me having unchecked that box repeatedly.

    Hi there!
    What you are describing sounds like a bug in the system. I’ve tried to find related issues but haven’t found any, so I’m tagging staff so they can look into this.

    Can you confirm if after checking the box is unticked and then leaving the Reader Suscriptions section, when you go back to the section the box is still unticked or the setting didn’t save. Keep in mind that after making any change in this section you need to save the settings at the bottom.

    Please share with us if after fixing the problem, the issue happened again or if it stopped happening.

    Hi there,

    Your settings are being changed automatically because our emails to you keep on bouncing with the error that the mailbox is full. The exact error is:

    The email account that you tried to reach is over quota and inactive

    If a service like ours continue sending emails to an address that’s bouncing them, it can cause us to become blacklisted by email providers. So once a certain number of emails to your inbox bounces, we automatically update the account settings to stop sending emails to your address, in order to prevent that from happening.

    If you need any help with that, please contact Gmail support directly.

    Once the issue on that end is fixed and our emails are no longer being rejected, the setting in your account will stop being automatically enabled.
