WordPress-Latex integration
-
Every time I need to write in math-mode, I am forced to type $latex….$. Basically, it’s a lot of extra work if a lot of equations are there. I believe, if you could have the feature where typing “latex” once gets you into the latex mode and “end latex” or something similar gets you out, it would make things much simpler.
Thanks and regards!

That is a great idea but not even 1% users on WordPress.com use LaTeX markup, so this appears lame to have a dedicated button for that. What you are wishing to have? :)

Well, you can see my blog. :)
In particular, it took me a lot of time to write a post on a particular functional equation. Debugging also became a mess. And sometimes it didn’t render the equation even though everything was correct. I had to edit, post, re-post, rinse-repeat. I believe that reduces the fun in posting.
Now, that may force me to discuss stuff only qualitatively…but then how do you communicate theoretical physics in just words?! :) It does get boring that way.

I understand. WordPress.com LaTeX doesn’t have complete support for all of the TeX commands. I use TeXStudio like apps to write usual LaTeX code and then I use LaTeX2WP script to convert them as WordPress compatible commands.
PS: It’s other thing that I have moved to self-host WordPress.
