WordPress 'likes'

  Is there a problem with these, please? – and if so, is it one that’s been ongoing for more than a week?
  Because if there isn’t, there’s something very wrong with my system.
  I receive emails telling me of ‘likes’, and I receive advices via that little window thinggy on the right-hand end next to ‘New Post’ telling me ‘likes’ … but on the site itself it continues to say ‘Be the first’, etc.
  Unless I do a manual count of the emails, I’m not going to know …

  What the devil do you mean by changing your nick?! It’s now twice as long to type!
  I tried searching on ‘likes’ but got nothing. I ALWAYS try searching first.
  I’m glad to know I’m right, anyway!
  It seems to’ve been going on forever: any light at the end of the tunnel?

  I have had this username account for 6 years and it’s for my personal blog which is linked to it. I use the same Gravatar so everyone knows both are me.
