WordPress login not working, cant access my site

  Hi,

  I just logged into a website I am taking over with the credentials set up by the previous team. They worked fine, and then I was trying to change some of the content. I changed the theme of the website (and didn’t think I published anything) but now I can not log into WordPress at all with the old credentials. WordPress login page just tells me the username doesn’t exist.

  Also when I go to the website address, it no longer displays and just times out.

  Any help?

  You created a new WordPress.com account here two hours ago. Perhaps you need to log out of this account and log back in to your site with the correct credentials. What is the address of the site you’ve mislaid and is it hosted here at WordPress.com?

  I tried that but had to set up a new account to post on here.

  I am just trying to find out from the previous team where it is hosted. Is this a common problem? Reckon it was anything to do with trying to change theme?

  Your site is using the self-hosted version of WordPress, and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

  These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only :)
