wordpress looking for files in wrong folder

  few problems not sure how I went wrong or keep going wrong.

  installed wordpress in a sub folder on my site:

  http://www.galmedia.co.uk/blog/

  if you follow that URL in firefox you will get a white screen but if you view source you can see html output of my blog. if you hit refresh it will load the blog.

  if you follow the link from my homepage in firefox it will ask you to download index.php:
  http://www.galmedia.co.uk

  not sure were im going wrong, keep deleting and installing a fresh copy. looks like it thinks my blog is installed on the root of my site:
  http://www.galmedia.co.uk

  not sure how because everytime I install it doesnt ask for my URL.

  also wrote some details of problem on my home page.
