WordPress lost two of my posts…

A couple of days ago one of my posts disappeared, after I saw it online. Since almost all my posts are haiku, I was able to remember it, and I let it slide. Now I regret that decision. This morning I posted a haiku, but I can’t remember its name now. Anyway, it was definitely posted because there was a comment made on it, and I replied.

This was about 8:30 central time. Around 6:30 central time, I posted another haiku, titled, “either way – haiku” You can now see that the wordpress.com software attached the first two comments from the lost haiku to this later posted haiku. They don’t have anything to do with it, and in fact still have the original time stamps, hours before this “either way” haiku even existed.

I find this alarming, since I have a LOT of haiku that I’ve written, on this blog, and also existentialpause.com This makes me really worry, even with backups.

Plus, I am having some difficulty recalling that haiku I wrote this morning. I’ve written thousands of them. They are all important to me!

I do post a lot from iPhone wordpress. Could it be conflicting?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There have been several reports of lost posts over the holidays. It is rare, but it happens.

Can you find them under Drafts? Or scheduled? If not, you may have to do a Google search for them and look for keywords. In the search box put

    whateverWordsYouRememberFromThePost Site:existentialpoet.com

and that should bring them up. Use the CACHED version, not the normal one, since you already know that normally they’re gone. THe cache might still have them though.

I don’t know about any iPhone problem outside NYC, but in NYC over the last few days AT&T disallowed iPhones because they are oversubscribed there and their infrastructure can’t handle it. There’s a post about that on Gizmodo.com
