wordpress menus

    need to change the menu for different landing pages. this is one of the landing pages. currently, whenever i switch the menu of another landing page, it changes the menu on this landing page as well. why is this? how can i edit this? i understand conditional menus is a plugin i can activate to solve this problem. but why does this problem exist? is there any way i can solve this problem with my current setup that does not have conditional menus activated? how can i just get to the html code of each landing page and just edit from there? please let me know thank you.
