WordPress News on Dashboard Won't Load

  The ‘wordpress news’ on my dashboard won’t load and it’s preventing me from using screen options to make changes to the dashboard. I’ve tried clearing the cache, uninstalling the theme and replacing it, then reinstalling the theme. Still can’t get it to load. As a result, I have no control over my dashboard layout.
