WordPress not allowing transparent png header to display properly

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi

I have a problem in uploading a transparent PNG header for wordpress. The blog is hosted on godaddy. The png simply shows up as an opaque white picture and if I right mouse click > copy to clipboard, it shows up with a black opaque background against a white logo.

I’ve tried everything from manually uploading the png through an ftp instead of via the header appearance to setting the png to 24bit. I’ve also noticed that this is not a problem on an older version of wordpress I used on another server not hosted by Godaddy.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for weeks and would appreciate if anyone has any idea or can point me in the right direction of how I can solve this.

    Please and Thank You
