wordpress not letting me map my domain name

    I bought a domain name from GoDaddy and keep trying to map it to my wordpress (free) site– I try over and over, go through paypal and it leads me back to the same place on my wordpress site– choose a plan. And the $13 that magically changes to $18 plus the extra for security- $26 total is still in my cart. (the amount is fine, but I just want my domain name to be mapped, so people can look it up without going through the wordpress.com.) It has been more than 2 weeks since I first started.
