Thanks Timethief. I’ve had no problems since starting 5 months ago. The problems only began a few hours ago. I’m just wondering if there are any issues with WordPress itself?

I just noticed your second post above as we were typing at the same time. I don’t believe there are widespread problems. If there were, then as there are 38 million of us I think this forum would be full of threads like yours and it isn’t.

I’m having problems with my menu’s in my own blog’s dashboard. A few hours ago I tried to add a menu item from a new page I’d just added and lost 1/3 of my menu items. Haven’t been able to get them back since.

Sorry for not responding earlier, I’ve just returned home after taking Mum back to the Aged Care facility.
So what am I doing wrong then?
I go to Appearance, then Menu’s. Tick the box next to the page I want in the menu and click on Add to Menu.
Then I go to the Menu section, position the new menu item where I want it and click Save Menu.
Twice now I’ve received the following message;
“Goshdarnit!something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault.
We’ve just been notified of the problem.
Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.”
But all the other times it just hasn’t saved the new menu item.

Hi @veganfoodpreparation, sorry for the delay getting back to you. Are you still experiencing issues adding menu items to your custom menu? If you are, could you please let me know which browser and version you are using and if the issue also happens in other browsers, e.g. Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome?

Thanks Jenia for getting back to me.
The problem was that I was nesting too many Menu items. I didn’t realize there was a limit. I’ve therefore managed to reduce the number that I am using and so now everything is working fine.
