WordPress Notification message about Broswer
-
I keep getting this message in the Word Press drop down menu with my notifications:
“Notifications Please upgrade your browser to keep using notifications. Soon, your browser will no longer be supported.”
I click through and get to the Browse Happy webpage. http://browsehappy.com/
IE 9 is on the list. That’s what I am using. Are you not going to be supporting IE9 anymore? It’s really nuts that you’d be moving away from IE. I am very disappointed. Esp when IE has the market share.
I really like using this drop down menu and will be very upset if I can no longer use it. What’s going on?

Hi leeanneandliana, Yes, it worked!
click on the little “compatibility view” icon that’s in the IE URL window (on the right side). It looks like a pice of paper that’s ripped into two parts. Once you click on that the message goes away. So strange. Maybe wordpress could update their messaging to include this fix.
Good luck!

One of of the drawbacks of using compatibility mode is that IE 9 will report itself as IE 7 and IE7 is no longer supported

I was having the same problem with the browser upgrade notification. I clicked the compatability view icon and it worked — it stopped giving me the “notification.”
