WordPress on my iPhone isn't accepting the application password?

I thought I followed the instructions for setting up two-step auth via SMS, but my copy of WordPress on my iPhone is not accepting the Application password that was generated on the desktop. Also, the mobile WordPress app is not listed as a third-party application in my settings on the desktop, and I’m not clear on whether it needs to be, or how to accomplish this. I read the instructional page several times and it is just not working the way it seems to be described, to me. Very frustrating, I have a deadline.

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to to those forums.

Hi there,
If the application-specific password that you generated had worked then you would indeed see that listed in your Account Settings at WordPress.com. If it is not listed under Account Settings >> Security, then you will need to generate a new one on that same page which you can then use to log in to your iPhone.
