WordPress on Synology NAS
-
I created a website using wordpress.com, but I have realised that my synology nas drive has a wordpress app. I installed the app and have attempted to move the website details over to the nas app. However, when I make changes to the site using the app, the web version remains the same (not updated).
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on fixing this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, the Synology NAS drive runs the self-hosted version of WordPress.
In other words, you can host a WordPress blog on there but it won’t be able to sync to WordPress.com without some tweaking. Please note I don’t have a Synology NAS drive, so I’m going on my understanding of WordPress.
See if you can install the plugin “Jetpack” on the Synology NAS drive version of WordPress.
If you can, then you can connect your “NAS Drive WordPress installation to your WordPress.com account.
This, however, might only work for posts.
I’m still not sure if your WordPress.com blog will get the data from the NAS Drive without Webhooks
Also note, The Synology NAS drive version of WordPress is not the same as the WordPress.com. The drive is using the WordPress.org platform designed for self-hosting.
Hope this shed some light on your situation.
WordPress does have a Desktop version to manage your blogs.
