WordPress opens very slowly

Hello! I am a contributor to the WordPress website belonging to my client. Originally, WordPress was very slow on my laptop because I had not upgraded to High Sierra. I have done that now, but the pages still open incredibly slowly. What gives?

One thing to take note of, if your website is a self-hosted WordPress.org site rather than WordPress.com we can unfortunately not offer support here.
