WordPress.org Divi Builder issue

  Hello, need help with editing using the back end divi builder.
  It seems that there is no option for me to use the Divi builder from the back end.

  The only way is to use the visual builder then go back to edit the page. But this does not allow me to insert or edit new sections or modules.

  Appreciate if someones can advice on this. The site is live and running on wordpress 4.9.8. Do I need to update this to the latest version for it to work?

  The website is live so I fear if anything goes wrong with the update, I will lose all content. There is also no settings option on this website.
