Are there pre-made templates for .org usage as well?
Are websites built through .org more compatible with other host providers besides wordpress?

Hi there,
You don’t build a website through WordPress.org, like you do on WordPress.com. WordPress.org is the website where the open source WordPress community builds and supports the WordPress software. It’s not a platform where you can create a site.
Instead, you’d download that software from WordPress.org, and then install it on your own server, or at a hosting provider like Bluehost.

There are thousands of themes available for the open source WordPress software, including most of the themes we have available on WordPress.com. The official directory is at https://wordpress.org/themes/, but there are also many more available online at various theme marketplaces or directly from the individual theme shops that create the themes.
